Cozaucy Race Engineering Attacking AD Motorsport At Bathurst

22/10/2009 - 'The Run Home'

Cozaucy Race Engineering are ready to make the final run home in the Austeam V8 Series
and want to make their intentions clear for the 2010 Series by winning at least one race in the final 4 rounds.

The team have had an interesting first series highlighted by finishing 2nd at Adelaide and Sandown as well as a 4th place at the first of the endurance races at Phillip Island but driver Simon Ripper says it’s time for more ‘It has been a great season but so far the top spot on the podium has eluded us and I believe we have set ourselves an achievable goal. Winning a race would really give us a great deal of confidence heading into 2010 especially with a major new sponsorship deal coming onboard.

When asked to expand on the sponsorship deal Simon replied ‘Xbox 360 and Donut King have been great to us this year but as for next year brace yourself’. However Corey had this to say ‘It’s very exciting to have a such a well known brand come aboard and I think we can go better with the extra backing we will receive’.

The team is also waiting to see whether a request to officials will be successful which would see Corey Slade switch from car 858 to car 16.This would see the team running cars number 15 and 16. Corey stated ‘It has been on the agenda for some time to attain license #16 it would give the team consecutive numbers which I feel is a good look for the team’. We also asked Corey what he had to say about the rest of this series ‘Go Hard Or Go Home’.

Cozaucy will be back on track for the Fuchs Indy 300 on the Gold Coast next Wednesday.
